However, thanks to the “Jornadas de Cirugías Extramuros,” a program facilitated by the Yucatán government in collaboration with healthcare professionals, he regained his vision. In Ticul’s third health jurisdiction alone, 320 assessments were carried out in seventeen municipalities, benefiting those without resources with sight-restoring procedures.
